  Sombras del Pasado II Closes.

Rudy Olivas of Sombras del Pasado (Socorro) fame tried his hand at the Upper Valley after Dos Señoritas had failed last fall. Dos Señoritas spruced up the old Griggs Restaurant but, some say, a bit "too hip" and it didn't win over the locals. Olivas brought back the traditional frontier look but it was apparently not enough.

The Upper Valley had been without a restaurant of the stature of Sombras del Pasado or the old Griggs for some time. This closure severely limits the choices of Upper Valley and Westside residents for a distinctive dining experience.

Billy Crews and Casa Jurado are those that can be recommended.
