One of the first campaign kick-offs occured on the 18th of August as Sergio Coronado, an attorney and school board President of Canutillo Indipendent School District, launced his campaign for the position of County Judge of El Paso County.

Many of the guests were from in law profession as lawyers and judges alike arrived. Many of Coronado's family were in attendance as well.

"He is one of the most reasonable and moral people I know" said Charles Carasco indicating that he has known Coronado for many years.

A video presentation hightlighting Coronado's high level of accademic achievement was accompanied by Denise Baisley who sang inspirationally.

After an emotional moment, Coronado thanked the crowd of well-wishers and said that he would "bring effective and efficient government back to El Paso County".
