Monsoon Arrives... Late but Great.
Drought conditions have been prevalent since May and the usual rainy season kick-off on the Fourth of July didn't manifest... and it got hot.
But things changed. Maybe it was Hurricane Emily that shifted the jet stream.
What a welcomed arrival. The clouds add some needed visual relief from the stark blue sky and blazing sun. As they form their thunderheads they tower thousands of feet about the valley floor.
They also provide some needed shade and lower the temperatures by about 10 to 15 degrees in the Upper Valley.
So keep..... Thinking Rain.
