Dr. Lorenzo García Accepts Superitendent Position at EPISD .
After many months without a permanent Superintendent;
Dr. Lorenzo García will now lead EPISD into the future. The Board of Trustees, under the leadership of President Lisa Colquitt-Muñoz, unanimously made the selection after a national superintendent search.
Dr. Garcia was previously Deputy Superintendent at Dallas ISD and also Assistant Superintendent in the Spring Branch ISD in Houston. Garcia earned his doctorate at the University of Houston.
“Now’s the time to move forward and work on goals and common threads to keep EPISD moving in the right direction,” García said. “Performance, accountability and hard work will be crucial.”
