Democracy... Not good enough?

With all of the lip service… you’d think that “Democracy” would be worth something. After all, we are losing the lives of thousands of brave men and women… some just out of high school… for what? For “Democracy”?

The United States… i.e. all of us… is occupying two Middle Eastern countries right now, Afghanistan and Iraq… regardless of why we invaded them… in hopes of establishing democracies.

Well if democracy is such a great idea, then why don’t we practice it at home?

The indictment of I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby, Vice President Dick Cheney's chief of staff for one count of obstruction of justice, two counts of perjury and two counts of making false statements; is a clear indication that “Democracy” is not something that you practice in America… but, rather, it’s an excuse to do things in other countries that are indefensible otherwise.

Apparently, real democracy is not worth protecting. Real democracy is not for all Americans. Real democracy is only a myth. Or is it the only way we as human beings are going to be able to reach our incredible potential on this planet?

Democracy is supposed to mean that every person…. man, woman AND child is equal and worthy of all rights as an individual and protected from unjust actions... regardless of how much money they have or their vision.

How did we allow Genocide? Slavery? Segregation?

And, how do we today, condone Corporate exploitation of children, minorities and the poor? Poverty? Lack of health care? Mediocre education for all? How do we support these atrocities?... as Americans?

Rosa Parks was a victim of one of our greatest sins as a nation and she “made waves” in order to get things changed. "Enough is enough."

Why do we need the poor, exploited and disenfranchised to make the first move?

The changes that make the United States a real “Democracy” should come from the top… and from the middle. The victims should not have to be crying “Help” all the time. For those who have developed deafness to these sounds... it sounds horrible. Just like it did in the minds of all those many others that rode buses without rights... but were TOO AFFAID to say anything to those who are TOO AFRAID to listen.

To true Americans... it is a sound that is not acceptable.

If we really want a democracy in this country… then we need to get rid of “Democracy, Inc.”... which is just another name for "Fuedalism"... that is practiced in this country and is being exported around the world.

Only True Ameicans believe in real Democracy.

Enough is enough.
