Several area artists where featured at the annual Art’s International Exhibition held at the Museum of International Art in El Paso on October 7th.

One of the attributes most agreed upon was that the exhibition was full of diversity. After all the Art’s International Exhibition is the largest international art show in Texas and includes artists from the seven surrounding states along the U.S/Mexico border.

In addition to both being accepted for the exhibition, Ben and Sally Avant sponsored the Avant Studio and Gallery Award for Contemporary Surrealism which was won by Carlos Romero with his piece “Reticulate”.

Luis Jurado a Westside photographer entered with a photograph of one of his students.

The Southwest was enriched beyond words by this exhibition and its artists.
