The Gourds made a mid-week stop in Sunland Park, New Mexico July 16th. The band had ventured out of Austin for a long weekend spending the night in Ft. Davis, Tx on Tuesday night and arriving at Ardovino's Desert Crossing to play to a wild and very appreciative crowd in the Sunset Hall on site.

Due to the early starting time... 8:00 P.M. our special Wednesday night "Night on the Valley" expedition for WestsideROX.com had us arriving just before the band finished their last set.

We entered to the sounds of The Doors "When Your Down" and the crowd up on their feet dancing and jumpin'.

This appearance was definitely a hit with this crowd for whom it had been too long since they played here last in 2006.
