The Canutillo Eagle Girls headed to Artesia, N.M to play Big Spring in Class 4A, TGCA and had their playoff run end. The (20-5-1) Eagles won the District 2-4A title this year after making the playoffs last year for the first time. They seemed ready to move deep into the playoff run and perhaps get to the state tournament. But, Canutillo lost to the Big Springs team in the area playoff round.
