Sun Country Trail Riders Saddle Up.

Grab your gear and eat a bowl of menudo on the way out for a morning ride with the Sun Country Trail Riders. The community riding group has meetings each month at Luby's to decide where the group will ride next. With so many places and locations to choose from there is usually a ride that is intriguing to everyone. Of course, many just like to enjoy a relax ride with friends once a month.

The ride was East of Vado on the BLM land, a fantastic area with various arroyos, trails and of course wildlife. Near the DJ Ranch in Vado at the old Cowboy truck stop. After the ride we all had a lunch of steamed hot dogs & sides. Gorgeous weather considering what our Spring has been. The group also rides on the desert mesa and of couse in the Upper Valley.

The ride is voted on at the prior meeting which is held the first Wednesday of every month at the Lubys at N. Mesa & Sunbowl drive at 7:00 pm. To obtain a membership, an individual or family must attend 2 events - whether it is 2 rides or meetings. Of course one would not know where the ride is scheduled unless they go to a meeting or know a current member for the information. The club is family oriented. Rides are usually about 2+ hours long. Speed is dictated by the least experienced rider on the current ride.
