Upper Valley Cyclists Take to the Back Roads.

Only the fittest and most driven get out during the Holiday Season to face the cold winds that blow across the Upper Valley. But, once it warms up, there is a swarm of the two-wheelers traversing every street in the valley.

Whether they are going down the main roads such as Westside Drive and here in the photo along Upper Valley Road or heading down the back roads such as Strahan and Bosque; you will see large packs of riders out for a show of power and ownership of the roads just as you will see the frequent pairing of two cyclists slip streaming in a line down the road.

With the added population in the valley and the number of cyclists it is essential that everyone be on their best behavior. The streets are not the quiet and lonesome roads of yesterday. Traffic accidents have increased and there are new roads that were never there five years ago.
