Bikers Roar into Upper Valley for Prayer.

Motorcyle riders from all over the area headed to the Upper Valley for what is hoped to be an annual blessing of the motorcycles.

The Calgary Chapel on Borderland & Westside was lined with hundreds of bikes as there was a cookout and live music performed prior to the actual blessing. There was a similar event held at the same church a few years ago that was perhaps more of a gathering for prayer. This year the word was out that this could be the start of something to be continued every year.

Bandito Mando said “We’ve had blessings before but it has never been every year”. Adding, that they will try to make this church a regular spring pilgramige.

Angie was busy filming the event but took a break to speak with us. Angie said “This is really great. The whole place is full and it's just perfect." Asked if she rode a hog. Angie said "I usually sit in the back of my husband’s bike". But she added "I’m going to get my own bike soon... I hope”. Keep praying Angie.

There were many different biker groups representing including several “Bikers for Jesus” members.

This church is situated along a motorcycle corridor. From Westside the bikers can ride north until they get to HiWay 28. From there it is clear sailing up to Chamberino and La Mesa where many of these same bikers and motorcycle enthusiasts were going to end up this Sunday... Can you say "Chope's Bar."
