New Mexico Soccer Teams Make Playoffs

While the sport of high school soccer is just heating up in the state of Texas; New Mexico high school soccer is over for the year. Perhaps playing soccer in the high Rocky Mountains in January and February has something to do with it.

But it was a good year for both of our Upper Valley New Mexico teams. Both Gadsden and Santa Teresa had teams going to the district plalyoffs.

The Gadsden Panther boys team won district play and advanced to the first round.

Also, both Santa Teresa's boys and girls Desert Warrior teams won district crowns and advance to the playoffs.

The competition state wide was fierce and all three teams bowed out in the first round after completing great 2007 campaigns.

Way to go teams. Thanks for making our Upper Valley proud.

Meanwhile, Texas soccer is in full swing. So get out and support your team(s).
