Stahmann's Farm: An Autumn Delight
For nearly a century, Stahmann's Farm has been the symbol of a bold new move in agriculture. At the time pecans weren't even grown in the Mesilla Valley. No only that, but, the huge pecan orchard spreads it lush green leaves like a magical canopy and forms one of the most remarkable micro-climates in our desert southwest. Just to drive mile after mile through their beautiful orchards is a real treat. We heartily recommend the fall tour... as seen here and also the summer tour when the sun is beating down on everyone else but you. During the warm months the trees form a lush, green canopy over the road. Photographers from all over the world have come to take pictures of the dramatic trees.
Since 1932 Stahmann's Pecan Farm, in the heart of the Mesilla Valley, has been producing some of the best pecans in the world. In fact Stahmann Farms is the largest family-owned pecan farm in the world! The farm covres over 3,200 acres and the pecans are not only grown here but they are shelled, packaged and shipped from here all over the world.
