What seemed like a rather routine pick-up of a student at Canutillo High School tuned into a shocking heart-stopping disaster.

The student was waiting outside of the CHS building and had the misfortune of watching her elderly grandmother coming down the drive to pick her up. Unfortunately, her grandmother never made to the other side of the road.

It appeared that the woman was stuck as she came west down the drive and attempted to turn left across traffic to get to the school grounds.

Her vehicle was stuck by a large Chevrolet SUV. The impact was the front of the SUV and the left read of the sedan.
