Shocking Collision Brings Drivers Closer.
Shocked out of a day full of errands and other responsibilities, one Westside driver was engulfed by her safety air bag when her small late model Pontiac coupe was struck by a larger Land Rover Discovery 4-wheel SUV.
The accident occurred just west of the Sunland Park and Mesa Hills intersection in front of the What-a-Burger when the young female driver of the Pontiac was attempting to get through the intersection. Her vehicle was apparently struck by the Land Rover causing serious damage to the Pontiac and less damage to the Land Rover.
While the damage to the vehicles was significant the driver of the Pontiac was noticably shaken and cried as the emotional impact of her shock and the damage to her vehicle and her plans sunk in. However, when both drivers can walk away from an accident there is a bit of relief.
It is clear that there is time to be human even in the most unfortunate circumstances. Then there is time to come together as the driver of the Land Rover attempted to comfort the more visibly affect of the two.
Apparently, you can make some lemonade when life gives you lemons.
