Area Photographer Lights Up NW Library.
The recent addition of an El Paso Library in the North-Westside was celebrated last year. The design of the Doris Van Doren Northwest Library includes a beautiful hallway leading to a conference room. It is just perfect for an exhibit of local talent... photos, artwork, etc. However, the wall has been bare too long. Recently, that trend was ended as we saw some nice photos up on the wall and we gave the photographer a call.
Caroline Disney (picture at right, holding up the photograph; is joined by the new Director of the library: Norice Lee.) has settled into the foothills of Northwest El Paso and along with her husban Don have been enjoying the beautiful change of pace the Desert Southwest brings. She loves the wonderful desert views and the chiles. As she had lived most of her life in Maryland this area is a whole new of landscape for her to view.
The exhibit in December, included some wonderful serene images from New Mexico's sacred lands. Her most recent exhibit, which is currently on display at the library, includes a series of great nature photographs that Disney took while at the world famous San Diego Zoo.
She has some great shots of great birds and primates and there is even one picture that she can't quiet classify. No. Not the one on the left... that's a little Panda Bear from China. The one that is causing so much trouble is a little monkey. So if you would like a picture of this little furry creature...courtesy of Caroline Disney... Please tell Caroline the little critter's name.
The exhibit will be up for a couple weeks so make sure you get a chance to see it.
