No Dilly-Dali for Famous Coffee Shop.

A long, long, long time ago... Mesa was a very lonely avenue. It was barely more than a high-end farm to market road. Familes used it to come into town to take there children to school or go to work in El Paso. El Paso stopped at Texas Western College.

And along it were occasional businesses. There was the famous motel where Baskins-Robbins near Walmart is today. The motel had a great swimming pool and a view of the Upper Valley that was well... priceless.

Also, there were little motels that were made of adobe. Caffe Dali was in one of those quaint little motel complexes. A one of a kind coffe shop... Dali was the place for coffee and pastries. Caffe Dali even had beer and wine.

But it is no more. Meyer Marcus of Mimco has leveled it and put up another cheap mini-strip mall. There goes another part of El Paso history and "Americana".
