Haggerty Bros. Rule North El Paso
In a nationwide radio talk show, an El Pasoan called in and complained that Dee Margo couldn't get elected in El Paso because he is a Republican. The caller did say though "In El Paso there are Democrates and then there are the Haggerty Brothers... who are Republicans... that win."
State Representative Pat Haggerty and his brother County Commissioner Dan Haggerty have done it once again. The Haggerty Bros. have roped in another sweep of the northern portion of El Paso County. This Repubican Dynamic-Duo has won re-election for nearly a dozen terms between the two.
This year Pat had the nail-biter in the primary and Dan had the nail-biter in the gereral election.
The secret to there success. Well, for one, they run in the most Republican portions of El Paso County... Northeast and Northwest. Secondly, they run for basically the exact same size and shape area. Thus, their name recognition is always high... and they save on campaign posters.... they just read "Re-Elect Haggerty".
