Border Immigration Not Solved.
Much time was wasted during the 2005-2006 U.S. Congress and the immigration issue went by the wasteside.
Thanks to the House Republicans threatening felony criminal charges for all illegal immigrants and deportation of their American born children there was a huge uproar from many in this country... both Democrats and Republicans... saying that they had gone too far.
The "Border Fence" was voted on but it will not cover the 1250 miles of the US/Mexico border. On top of that, the funding was not appropriated.
And the obvious question is... if the money ever gets appropriated... who will build the fence. Unless the US wants to double the cost now estimated at $9 Billion... then illegal immigrants will build it as they build everything in this country anyway.
If that isn't irony... then what is.
