Margo "Hurts" El Paso with Negativity.

Hypocrite or Sycophant? Dee Margo's brutal cheap-shot mud-slinging attacks against State Sen. Shapleigh "because I want better for El Paso" gives El Paso a black-eye. Margo's campaign and indeed his platform was that Senator Shapleigh gets ornery and that is bad for El Paso. The only thing missing from Margo's mindset is some self-reflection and introspection if he dare.

Then Margo come up with flashy TV ads showing Shapleigh in less than photogenic releif and Margo walking in the sun with his wife. But, then what are you going to run on if not negativity when you haven't done anything for El Paso and wouldn't know where to start if ever elected... unless you call following in line with the delusional Texas Republican Party and perpetrating more injustice on the poor and middleclass.

Not one of the Republican candidatest that we interviewed during the primaries ever had an answer for the political corruption in the Texas legislature. Pat Haggerty attempted to correct us that the redistricting was legal. The U.S. Supreme Court said it wasn't... oh, yes you can waste time and money redistricting anytime you want... but you can't disenfranchise a population just because you want more U.S.Congressional seats.

As if Tom DeLay's coup d'état of the Texas Legislature wasn't bad enough now we have a political nobody trying to spend his way into the State Senate no matter how much vile is spilled.

Dee Margo who attempted to ride the coattails and the good name of his wife, Adair Wakefield Margo, an art dealer and gallery owner; has instead put a tarnish even on that name.

Sure there are a certain percentage of the population in El Paso that believe just because Margo is a Republican...he can do no wrong. But, thanks to John Dean, former Counsel to President Nixon and his new book, "Conservative Without Conscience," we know why. Most who have read this book now know what most ethical psychologists have known for years... that there is a percentage of the population that needs someone to tell them "the way" no matter which way that is.... even if it takes our society down the drain and into totalitarianism. Dean highlights the research into Nazi Germany's decent into hell and the people who pushed the train and their only excuse being "I was just doing what I was told" like a good ________ fill in the blank.

Heck! Margo didn't even put the word "REPUBLICAN" on his ads. Instead he talked about how he would do only want was good for El Paso no matter which side of the aisle it came from. And then he uses nothing but negativity and polemic to steal his way into office.

Most people will understand that his is not a anti-repubulican point of view... it is only a pro-American point of view. America can't afford any more corruption or buying of office. Will America's center please show some courage and keep this country going in a "good" direction?

Imagine, Margo spent close to $500,000 on this campaign of negativity. Imagine how much that could have done to help the people affected by floods, those who need medical attention and those who need better education from a state that ranks 49th in the country on per capita spending on education.

Margo, if you really want to do something "good" for El Paso... stay out of politics until you learn to do something "good" for the people of El Paso. You can start by getting some therapy. We don't need anymore corruption nor megalomania in Austin.
