Pat Haggerty Coasts to Re-Election.
Pat Haggerty won another term as the State Representative, 78th District of Texas.
Anyone familiar with the area politics could have predicted as much... but, there was a bit of drama as Haggerty won the primary against Dr. O'Donnell who as it turned out was heavily financed by outside donors and of the "far-right" persuasion. This after O'Donnell boasted of the teachers and maintenance staff who donated to her common folk campaign.
Once Haggerty won that battle... and it was so close that a re-count was called for... Haggerty went on to win re-election wihtout a Democratic opponent for State Representative Dist. 78 as Democratic opponent Leon Schyldlower dropped out of the election... without so much as a peep.
