Canutillo Homecoming Has the Spirit.
The whole town of Canutillo, Texas sits along the Rio Grande River in the Upper Valley. This little town has had a tremendous evolution as it went from a small rural farming community without any schools to a growing suburb in El Paso's northwest corner.
Things may have changed as the new high school still doesn't have a full year under its belt... but the town hasn't. They still get out and support the Eagles... as in Eagle Pride.
The hot afternoon was no differnt. They had plenty of enthusiasm as the townfolk lined the streets in wait of the football team and the parade.
One of the special aspects about the Cauntillo Homecoming Parade is that there is no shortage of candy nor plenty of willing arms to toss it to the kids along the street.
There are so many images of this great Texas tradition that we couldn't show every picture... but this should get everyone out to see a little bit of Americana ala Mexicana... in Canutillo next year.
