Fall Harvest Fest at La Viña Winery.

La Viña was taking its chances... trying to schedule there annual wine fest and grape stomp between UTEP home games and other events. Last year, during our drought, it poured the Friday before the event... leaving a swamp on Saturday and muck on Sunday... but, the people still came and enjoyed the annual kick-off to Autumn.

This year with all of the rains, it was a game of chance to see if the event would be rained out.

There were threats of rain... but cool weather and the harvest spirit was what ensued.

The event is a classic in the Upper Valley and this year was held near the end of October. Cool and dry. Well, actually the event was held between two Pacific hurricanes that have been dumping rain on the valley every 3 weeks.

There were plenty of great booths for food and of course the wine. The kids had much to do as the parents sat and/or danced to the great music.
