Upper Valley Academy Heads for Junior Olympics
On June 17, 2006 Hayashi's Martial Arts Academy will be taking a Judo Team of kids 6 to 18 years old to the Texas Junior Judo Olympics. The Texas Junior Olympics will take place at Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas.
Hayashi's students, parents, and staff are currently taking donations and sponsorships to raise money for the team. We have sponsorship booklets being sent out to businesses around the area.
On May 13th, we had a Roll-Out-A-Thon. Students participating in the Roll-Out-A-Thon had a couple of weeks to find sponsors who could give then an amount per roll-out (.25 cents for example) or a flat donation (any amount). The students then had an hour on May 13th to do as many roll-outs as they could. The total amount raised goes to the Judo Team fund.
