Dangerous Westside Intersection.
More than once in recent weeks has the intersection of Mesa & North Desert (I-10) claimed more victims. The wrecked vehicles usually end up in the same spot... up against the traffic light pole or the curb. Moreover, the accidents occur most frequently at dusk... especially during the winter months when the rushhour traffic and short-on-patience attitudes collide.
In this case, a car heading west (toward the Upper Valley) on Mesa and a car exiting the off ramp of I-10 collided. There were minor injuries to the driver of this car and her 5-year old son, as well as the driver of the other car.
We must be very mindful of this and the intersection further up Mesa at Resler.
